Recovery Strategy Design

Strategy Design picks up where the BIA left off to develop and document ways of

recovering the critical lines of business identified in the BIA.  Strategy Design can
include data replication and server failover in technology environments or fixed work
area or mobile solutions to recovery staff as well as other options.  Strategies can
also include in-house solutions such as using test environments to recover critical
systems and prioritizing and shifting work between offices.  The type and
sophistication of the strategy employed depends largely on the level of funding
supported by the company.  Specific strategy design components include:
  • Requirements document defining needs
  • Identification of key stakeholders
  • Diagrams depicting the strategy and identifying key elements
  • Implementation document detailing how the strategy will be employed
  • Costs associated with implementing the strategy
  • Gap analysis including BIA requirements and elements not included in the strategy

Our Strategy Design engagements are defined in individual Statements of Work (SOW)

and can encompass technology and business recovery strategies.
